Trunk or Treat at Weber State's Davis Campus

I love to celebrate Halloween as many times as possible. I don't like that you look forward to an event only to spend one day (usually so busy it's tiring) celebrating it. So we did a few things for Halloween, we went to the Weber State's Davis Campus, then to the ward Trunk or Treat, to my dad's ward Trunk or treat, then on Halloween we just enjoyed going around the families (making our rounds). This is Faith in her elegant witch cosutme.
We took the kids accompanied by my mom and her kids to the Trunk or Treat at Weber State's Davis Campus. This is open to the public like just about everything else. They first had a trunk or treat where those who wanted to decorated their trunks would be provided with candy. After wards They had a Cupcake walk (the one you see my little sister, Kieran standing in her cute fairy costume with purple hair)

They then had a cookie decorating room, and a Monster Bash room where the kids could party to monster music and alot of balloons. Zander is dressed as an English Police officer (Bobby).

Gaven's relaxing with the kids while my mother and I help the others with the cake walk and the decorating. Here our Little Tink is dressed as a cute chubby chicken, and our little man is sporting Tigger wear.

After wards they showed the movie WALL-E with popcorn, capri suns, and other goodies. We didn't stay for very long. The boys are still too small to sit for an entire movie without getting bored, no matter how good the movie is. We went to our ward's chili cook off and more trunk or treating. We lost the camera for a while, so didn't get many pics, maybe on Halloween we'll get more.

Black Island Pumpkin Patch

The kids are sooo excited to pick their pumpkins. This pic looks a little off balance color wise, because it was sooo bright you couldn't differentiate between their faces and the background. Nonetheless, you can see their beautiful excited grins.
We visited Black Island Farm's Pumpkin Patch last Thursday. We had a blast. These pictures actually uploaded backwards from the order I had put them in. This is the kids showing off the pumpkins we picked, while they wait for me to get the car to load them.
This is the family all together, thank you Corn Cop. We had a blast.
There is way more pumpkins then what you see behind me, we're only in the front of one section. It's great that you get a selection, but oh... the options. It was a little too much for Zander to pick his pumpkin.
This is us with our little Tink posing for a pick while on the hayless hay ride.

Feeding the duckies

Love to feed the ducks. Gaven is definitely a bird person, and the kids got that trait from him. Not to say that I don't like feeding the ducks, but they REALLY like feeding the ducks, trying to get them to eat out of their hands, and trying to pet them.
Gaven can get a little to zealous, and forget to share with the kids. But all in all, we have a good time, and share food that other wise would just end up in the trash.

Clinton City got a new pond just a few years ago. It lacks the natural nature feel of Beus pond in Ogden, with the shade and older trees, but it will be nicer when the kids get older.
Look at those ducks. I guess I can see why they want to pet them.
Faith always posing for the picture. But can you blame her? She knows she's beautiful.

The Bar-B-Q Cook-Off in Salt Lake

We Love BAR-B-Q!!! We like to sit down as a family some
nights and watch food network, and drool over the screen
seeing what we can possibly make.

When I happened to hear of the opportunity to attend a Bar-b-Q
Cook-off on the news, we were all over it. We got some good tips
for our own Bar-B-Qing. (which Gaven does quite well now)

We got to try some awesome ribs. They also had things for the kids to
do like bounce, face paint, and Tatoo. They had blues' bands playing
southern music, like you'd find in Louisiana.

And different companies were giving out free stuff like water guns,
beach balls, pens, notepads, etc. They also had water fountain features
which the public were having a blast with, including the kids (and Gaven)

My Baby turns 5

Going from 5 to 15. I swear she's growing faster then we can keep up.

Before we know it, Gaven's going to be waiting at the front door with a shot gun to meet her first date.
